GROUNDING
EVERY ELECTRIC TOOL SHOULD BE GROUNDED while in use,to protect the operator against
shock. This unit is equipped with approved 3-conductor cord and 3-blade grounding type
attachment plug to be used with the proper grounding type receptacle. The green colored
conductor in the cord is the grounding wire. Never connect the green wire to a "live" terminal.
If your unit requires less than 150 volts, it has a plug that looks like fig. "A". A special
grounding adapter (Fig. "B") is available from your dealer to permit using 2-wire receptacle
until the correct receptacle is properly .installed. The green grounding wire extending from the
side of the adapter must be connected to a PERMANENT GROUND such as a properly
grounded outlet box. If the unit requires from 150 to 250 volts it has a plug like Figure J<C'\
No adapter is available and it should be used in the proper standard matching 3-wire
grounding receptacle.
