Green/Orange Indicators
When the shutter button is pressed halfway, the
indicators light up or blink to indicate whether or not
shooting is possible.
Green i
Orange i
Green indicator
Lights up:
Ready for shooting (Subject in focus)
Blinks (4 times/sec.): Close-range warning (See 0 below)
Blinks (2 times/sec.): Real time release mode (^ 38)
Orange indicator
Lights up:
Flash has charged
Blinks (4 times/sec.): Camera shake warning in "Flash
OFF" mode (See (?) below)

Move away from the subject until the green
indicator stops blinking. Press the shutter button
halfway again.
For C prints and H prints, the close-range
warning distance is between 30 and 60 cm (1.0
and 2.0 ft.). For P prints, the close-range warning
distance is between 0.3 and 2 m (1.0 and 6.6 ft,).
However, the green indicator may light up when
the subject is closer than 30 cm (1,0 ft.). Make
sure that the subject is at least 45 cm (1.5 ft,)
away.
® We recommend you mount the camera on a
tripod.
