If your Canon Ixus Z65 is unresponsive after replacing the battery and you cannot open the film cartridge, follow these steps:
1. Check the Battery Orientation – Ensure the battery is inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+ and - aligned as indicated).
2. Use a Fresh Battery – If the battery is old or weak, replace it with a new, fully charged one.
3. Clean the Battery Contacts – Use a dry, clean cloth or an eraser to gently clean the battery contacts in the camera and on the battery.
4. Try Powering On Again – Turn the camera on and check if the LCD or any indicators light up.
5. Manually Open the Film Compartment – If the camera remains unresponsive, try gently sliding or pressing the film compartment release while applying slight pressure.
6. Reset the Camera – If possible, remove the battery for a few minutes, then reinsert it and try again.
7. Check for Mechanical Issues – If the film door is stuck, there may be a mechanical lock preventing it from opening. Avoid forcing it to prevent damage.
8. Seek Professional Repair – If none of the above steps work, the camera may have an internal issue, and you may need to consult a professional repair service.
These steps should help resolve the issue or determine if professional assistance is needed.
