Setting of MIDI CHANlua
The
instrument is provided with
16 MIDI
CHANNELS, 1 to 16, and data can be exchanged
only when the channel of the transmitting side
matches with that of the receiving
With the power supply turned on, the default
channel setting of this piano is MIDI CHANNEL
1 The channel setting can be changed with the
following method
The 15 leftmost white keys are assigned MIDI
CHANNELS 2 to 16 (as shown in the figure
below) To select a MIDI CHANNEL, while press-
ing the key that is assigned the number of the
desired channel, turn on the power
• When the power supply is turned off, the piano
returns to the original standard state (MIDI
CHANNEL 1)
To turn off tho LOCAL CONTROL
For
Its
use as a master keyboard, this piano can
be set to the LOCAL CONTROL OFF mode, in
which only the MIDI data is transmitted without
producing the piano sound when you play on the
keyboard
To select the LOCAL CONTROL OFF mode,
while pressing the white key next to the leftmost
key, turn on the power supply
• When the power supply is turned off, the piano
returns to the original standard state (LOCAL
CONTROL ON)

• Connect the piano to the stereo set or headphones
• No sound

produced if the VOLUME is set to MIN
Use the sliding control to set the volume to an appropriate
level
• If the MIDI LOCAL CONTROL is set to off, set it to on
Data cannot be exchanged through
MIDI terminals
• Match the channels on the transmitting side and the
receiving side
• The MIDI data isn't transmitted during the demonstration
performance
