Reset the Web Interface Admin Password
You can change the password for the admin account to access the management center web interface.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the web interface for the management center as the admin user. To reset the admin password, you
need to establish a console connection with the appliance.
Step 2
To access the Linux shell, enter the expert command.
Step 3
At the shell prompt, enter the sudo usertool.pl -p "admin password" command. Here password is the new
password for the web interface admin user.
In the following example, the password is SourcefireM1!.
We recommend that you use a complex password.
