7.3 Faults
Check that the battery is charged and the char-

8. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to pre-
vent it from being damaged in transit. The raw
materials in this packaging can be reused or
recycled. The equipment and its accessories are
made of various types of material, such as metal
and plastic. Defective components must be dispo-
sed of as special waste. Ask your dealer or your
local council.
9. Storage
The tool should be cleaned before you put it into
storage. Store the tool and its accessories in a
dark, dry and frost-free place where it cannot be
reached by children. The ideal storage tempera-
ture is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric tool
in its original packaging. For storage, the hedge
trimmer with fi tted cutter guard can be hung on a
nail, screw or the like using one of the holes in the
impact guard (Fig. 12). Make sure that the sus-
pension fi xture can carry the weight of the tool.

10. Transport
When transporting the tool you must always
cover the cutting mechanism with its guard.
Carry the hedge trimmer only when its blade
is stationary.
Take the battery out of the tool in order to pre-
vent it from switching on accidentally.
