This telephone is registered for use in
Canada.
Notice: The REN/IES assigned to this
telephone determines the
number of devices you may
connect to the telephone loop
which is used by the device
to prevent overloading. The
termination on a loop may
consist of any combination of
devices subjected only to the
requirement that the sum of
the REN/IES does not exceed
five (5.0).
Notice:The Industry Canada label
identifies certified equipment.
This certification means that
the equipment meets certain
t e l e p c o m m u n i c a t i o n s
network protective, operationl
and safety requirements. The
D e p a r t m e n t d o e s n o t
guarantee the equipment will
operate to user's satisfaction.
Before installing this equipment, user's
should ensure that it is permissible to
be connected to the facilities of the local
telecommunications company. The
equipment must also be installed using
an acceptable method of connection.
The customer should be aware that
compliance with the above conditions
may not prevent degradation of services
in some situations.

Repairs to certified equipment should be
made by an authorized Canadian
maintaenance facility designated by the
supplier. Any repairs or alterstions made
by the user to this equipment, or
equipment malfuncations, may give the
telecommunications company cause to
request the user to disconnect the
equipment.
Users should ensure for their own
protection that the electrical ground
connections of the power utility,
telephone lines and internal metallic
water pipe system, if present, are
connected together. The precaution
may be particularly important in rural
areas.
Caution: Users should not attempt to
make such connections
themselves, but should
contact the appropriate elec-
trician, as appropriate.
O p e r a t i o n i s s u b j e c t t o t h e
following two conditions: (1) this device
may not cause interference, and (2) this
device must accept any interference,
including interference that may cause
undesired operation of the device.
