7. Hard kickback
When using the brushcutter, an uncontrollable kickback may occur. This is the case when
trying to cut with the cutter tool in a segment between 12 o'clock and 2 o'clock. Never use the
brushcutter within a segment between 12 and 2 o'clock.
Never use the brushcutter to cut solid objects such as bushes, trees, etc. that have a diameter
greater than 3cm because it will be twisted with great force, and can cause very serious
injuries.
8. Prevention against sudden reversals
To avoid a hard kickback, be sure to do the following:
Operation with the cutting tool within a segment between 12 and 2 o'clock represents a certain risk, especially when using metallic
cutting elements.
Cutting operations with the cutting tool within a segment between 11 and 12 o'clock and between 2 and 5 o'clock should only be
carried out by trained and experienced persons, and even then only by your account and risk.
It is possible to cut with little risk of hard kickback with the cutting tool within a segment between 8 and 11 o'clock.
9. Cutting tools
Use only the cutting tools provided.
10. Maintenance instructions
Before operation, the condition of the brushcutter must be checked as well as the protec-
tion devices and also the harness strap. Special attention must be paid to the cutting disc,
which must be properly sharpened.
Stop the engine and remove the spark plug connector when replacing, cleaning or shar-
pening the cutting tool and also when cleaning the machine.
Operate the brushcutter with as little noise and pollution as possible. In particular, check
the correct adjustment of the carburettor.Clean the brushcutter regularly and make sure
all bolts and nuts are tight.
Never maintain or store the brushcutter near open flames.
Always store the brushcutter in closed rooms and with the fuel tank empty.
Do not make any modifications to the brushcutter as this will endanger your safety.
Maintenance and repair work by the user is limited to only those described in this instruction manual. All other work must be done
by an authorized service agent. Use only genuine replacement parts and accessories supplied.
The use of non-approved accessories and cutting tools increases the risk of accidents.
No responsibility will be accepted for accidents or damage caused by the use of non-approved cutting tools, fixing devices or
accessories.
11. First aid
Make sure a first aid kit is available near where cutting operations are taking place to use it in case of an accident.
