Using hole
WARNING:
Never use the hanging hole for
unintended purpose, for instance, tethering the
tool at high location. Bearing stress in a heavily
loaded hole may cause damages to the hole, result-
ing in injuries to you or people around or below you.
Use the hanging hole at the bottom rear of the tool to
hang the tool on a wall using a hanging cord or similar
strings.

WARNING:
Use the hanging/mounting parts
for their intended purposes only, e.g., hanging the
tool on a tool belt between jobs or work intervals.
CAUTION:
Do not use damaged tool hanger,
screws, and shoulder strap. Always check for
damages, cracks or deformations before use.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the screws are
tightened before use.
CAUTION:
Always use the screws provided
with the tool hanger only.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the battery car-
tridge while hanging the tool. The tool may fall if
the screws are not tightened.
CAUTION:
Install or remove the tool hanger
on a stable table or surface.
This tool hanger is convenient for temporarily hanging
the tool from your belt, etc. as illustrated.

NOTE: When using with a shoulder strap, always
use the item No.161464-4. Do not use the item
No.161464-4 with other tool hanger.
Remove the battery cartridge from the tool.
Install the tool hanger to the tool in the direction of
arrow.

Insert the projections of the tool hanger into the grooves
on the both sides of the tool. You can install the tool
hanger in the direction of arrow only.

Tighten the provided screws firmly. To remove, loosen
the screws and then take it out.

CAUTION:
After installing, make sure that the
tool hanger is securely installed with the screws.
CAUTION:
If any problem develops, consult
your nearest Makita service center or dealer.

OPERATION

CAUTION:
Always insert the battery cartridge
all the way until it locks in place. If you can see the
red indicator on the upper side of the button, it is not
locked completely. Insert it fully until the red indicator
cannot be seen. If not, it may accidentally fall out of
the tool, causing injury to you or someone around
you.
Hold the tool firmly and place the impact socket over
the bolt or nut. Turn the tool on and fasten for the proper
fastening time.
The proper fastening torque may differ depending upon
the kind or size of the bolt, the material of the workpiece
to be fastened, etc. The relation between fastening
torque and fastening time is shown in the figures.
