    Setting up the enclosure and installing a drive To set up the tape enclosure and install a drive, complete the following steps. Note: You will need a flat-blade and a Phillips screwdriver during the installation. Review the information in “Safety” on page iii, “Installation guidelines for rack mount enclosures”...

Install ten clip nuts or ten cage nuts as required for your rack cabinet (clip nuts for round-hole mounting flanges; cage nuts for square-hole mounting flanges). Use the cage-nut-insertion tool or a flat-blade screwdriver to install cage nuts.

  • Page 17 Install the drive: a. Connect the SCSI signal cable that comes with the drive to the SCSI connector on the inside of the enclosure. b. Remove the filler panel from the front of the enclosure. c. Slide the drive into the enclosure; then, insert and tighten four screws to secure the drive.

Governing Law Both you and IBM consent to the application of the laws of the country in which you acquired the Machine to govern, interpret, and enforce all of your and IBM’s rights, duties, and obligations arising from, or relating in any manner to, the subject matter of this Statement of Limited Warranty, without regard to conflict of law principles.
