REMOVING THE FILTERS
The ifD
filters are supplied within the air purifier.
®
• Turn-off power and unplug the air purifier. While pressing on the release tab at
the top of the rear grille, pull the grille towards you and remove it (See Fig. 5).
Gently push along the edge of the filter frame and pull forward. Repeat for the
second filter.
• After cleaning, place filters back into the air purifier housing and snap filter grille
back into place.
CLEANING THE IFD

To clean the ifD
filters:

• After removing the ifD
filters from the air purifier, follow the steps below to
®
wash the ifD
filters.
®
Turn the power off and unplug the air purifier.
• Rinse the filter with clean tap water (Fig. 6)
• If the filter still appears dirty, proceed to "Washing,"
otherwise proceed to "Drying."
Washing:
• Remove the ifD
filters from the unit.
®
• Fill a sink with lukewarm water and add a few drops of mild dish soap.
• Gently swish the filters in the soap solution to clean.
• Soak the filters for 2-3 minutes. Do not leave for an extended period of time.
• Rinse the filters with clean tap water (Fig. 6).
Drying:
• Shake the filters to remove any excess water.
• Place the filters with the honeycomb side down on a plush towel.
• Note that the filters may still be discolored even after washing.
This is acceptable and will not affect performance.
• Allow the ifD
filters to dry for a few hours or overnight.
®
• When the ifD
filters are completely dry, place back into the air purifier.
®
CAUTION:
• Never place wet ifD
filters in your air purifier.
®
• The ifD
filters are NOT dishwasher safe. Do not place the ifD
®
to other extreme hot water conditions.
• Do not use any solvents, strong cleaning agents or flammable liquids to clean the ifD

MAINTAINING YOUR WASHABLE PRE-FILTER
The pre-filter helps capture large airborne particles that
enter the rear grille. This pre-filter can be periodically
removed and shaken to clean it. Alternatively, it can be
rinsed by hand under warm water (Fig. 7). Let the
pre-filter air dry completely before inserting back into
the grille (Fig. 8). If you need to replace this item, please

OPTIONAL: Changing the Odor Absorbing Pre-Filter
If you have chosen to use the odor absorbing
effectiveness for odor adsorption over time and will need to be replaced.

To install the
pre-filter, simply remove it from the bag and place securely into

the rear grille in lieu of standard pre-filter as shown in Figure 8.
If using the odo r absorbing filter, it is recommended that you store the original
washable pre-filter in the event that you decide to use it in the future.
NOTE: The odor absorbing pre-filter is not washable.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
We recommend that you clean the air purifier at least every 3 months and before extended storage. Use
only a dry cloth to wipe the external surfaces of the air purifier. DO NOT USE WATER, WAX POLISH, OR
ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How often is cleaning required?
About every 3 months depending on the air quality of the room. We recommend washing the ifD
filters when needed but not more than once a month.
How long should I run my Air Purifier?
In general, it is recommended that you run your air purifier when you are at home to clean the air. The
unit may be run 24/7 if preferred. This unit will be more effective when doors and windows are closed.
How do I use the additional pre-filter that is packed in the plastic bag?
Your air purifier came with a installed washable pre-filter that helps capture the larger airborne particles

before they reach the ifD
filters. If you would like the additional benefit of Odor & VOC Reduction, you
may replace the washable pre-filter with the Odor & VOC Reducing
plastic bag with the purifier. You must first remove the washable pre-filter that came in your air purifier
and replace it with the

pre-filter. This pre-filter is not washable and should be replaced every 3
months for optimum performance.

common household odors and VOCs. This
