Installing the Memory Boards
The HP 82324 High-Performance Measurement Coprocessor has no memory
on the main board, but there are two memory locations, RAM-l and RAM-2,
where memory boards can be installed. Two memory boards are available. The
HP 82325 1 MB Memory Board provides 1 MB (megabyte) of RAM (random
access memory), while the HP 823264 MB Memory Board provides 4 MB of
RAM. These boards look the same, but are identified by labels on the back. A
memory board (either 1 ME or '" ME) must be installed in the RAM-l location
in order for the measurement coprocessor to function. For additional memory,
a second memory board may be installed in the RAM-2Iocation. However, if
both a 1 MB and a 4 MB memory board are installed, the'" ME board must be
installed in the RAM-l location.
The HP 82324 High-Performance Measurement Coprocessor auto-configures
itself for the amount of memory installed, provided the physical memory
configuration is valid. The following table shows the valid configurations:
