Extending battery life

Limit the following activitiesthat quicklydepletebattery power:
- Reviewingyour pictureson the LCD(seepage 5)
- Usingthe LCDas a viewfinder (seepage 7)
- Excessive useof the flash
Dirt on the batterycontactscan affect batterylife. Wipethe contactswith a clean,
dry cloth before loadingbatteriesin the camera.
Batteryperformanceis reducedat temperaturesbelow41° F (5° C).When using
yourcamerain coldweather,carrysparebatteriesand keepthem warm. Do not
discardcold batteriesthat do not work; when they returnto roomtemperature,
they may be usable.
Upgrading your software and firmware
Downloadthe latestversionsof the softwareincludedon the KodakEasyShare
softwareCD and the camera firmware (the softwarethat runson the camera).See

Additional care and maintenance
If the camerahasbeen subjectedto inclementweather or you suspectwater has
gotten insidethe camera,turn off the cameraand removethe batteryand card.
Allow all components to air-dryfor at least24 hoursbeforeusingthe camera
again.
Blow gently on the lensor LCD to removedust and dirt. Wipe gentlywith a soft,
lint-free cloth or an untreatedlens-cleaning tissue. Donot usecleaningsolutions
unlessdesignedspecifically for cameralenses.Do not allow chemicals,suchas
suntan lotion, to contactpainted surfaces.
