Flashtube replacement

The construction of Quadralite Pulse X flashes allows replacement of flashtube by
the user himself. To perform the replacement operation you need to follow these
steps:
1.
Turn off the flash by setting the switch to OFF position.
2.
Disconnect the power supply by plugging off the power cord from AC power source.
Wait minimum 24 hours since the last usage, till the flash cooled down and is
discharged.
3.
Using dry cloth or gloves to unscrew the modeling light bulb and remove glass cover.
4.
Carefully untangle the wire, firmly grip booth flashtube feets and gently pull it out.
5.
Take down the feet casing from the old flashtube and put it on the new one.
6.
The flashtube, modeling light bulb and glass cover should be assembled in reverse
order and by keeping the given instructions.
Leaving fingerprints or any other dirt on modeling light bulb or flashtube may cause
shortage of their work time. It is recommended to use insulated gloves during the
replacement of modeling light bulb and flash tube.
CAUTION!
It is forbidden to use flashtubes other than supplied by Quadralite.
Replacement of the flashtube should be performed after minimum 24
hours since the last usage and power source disconnection. Short
circuited of the charged strobe flashtube contact pins may cause rapid
and uncontrolled discharge of energy stored in capacitors which may
result in device damage and high-voltage electric shock.
