Safety

Do not attach filters, diffusers or any other accessories directly on or in close
proximity of the flashbulb and pilot light. While snoot is attached pilot light should
be turned off. Disobeying given advice may results in device overheating and fire.
Do not touch the flashtube with bare hands! Leaving fingerprints or any dirt on its
surface may cause shortage of their work time. It is recommended to use
insulated gloves during the replacement of modeling light bulb and flash tube.
Do not touch flash output terminals and flashtube wiring! Short circuited of
charged flash may cause rapid and uncontrolled discharge of energy stored in
capacitors which may result in device damage and high-voltage electric shock.
Replacement of the flash tube should be performed after minimum 24 hours
since the last use.
It is advised to wear insulated gloves during the procedure. It is forbidden to use
flashtube other than supplied by Quadralite.
Avoid applying excessive force on flashtube or pilot light bulb.
Do not fire flash directly into the eyes or in the short distance from them! Ignoring
the above safety rule may cause temporary or permanent damage to the eyes.
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to
flashing lights. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may
have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these "photosensitive epileptic
seizures" while using this device. These seizures may have a variety of
symptoms, including lightheadedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching,
jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of
awareness. Seizures may also cause loss of consciousness or convulsions that
can lead to injury from falling down or striking nearby objects. Immediately stop
using the device and consult
a doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.
Keep out of the reach of children! The flash contains small parts which may pose
the risk of suffocation. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.
CAUTION!
Ignoring the above safety rules may cause dangerous electric shock, user
health damage, operation disturbances or permanent damage to the
device.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages resulting from improper
operation of the equipment, therefore you should only use the device in
compliance with this user manual.
