This
instruction manual
is
intended to enhance the usage
and en¬
joyment
of
your PAM-5.
UNPACKING
While unpacking your PAM-5,
please
inspect
the unit
carefully for
shipping damage.
If
all
is well,
proceed.
Position PAM-5
in your
system.
Plug
in the
power
supply connectors on the
back of
your
preamp,
lining up the
red dots of the
connectors with recepticals
on the
rear panel and push gently until
it
snaps
into
place.
Next
plug power
supplies
into the A.C.
wall outlet.
The green led on
the
preamp and the
red
leds on the
power
supplies
should
light
up.
If
they do not,
stop and
contact
your dealer or the
factory.
HOOK UP
Your PAM-5 comes
to
you
factory set
for moving coil operation with
an impedance
of
100 ohms.
This
impedance
can be
changed by adjust¬
ing
switches marked S
1
and S3.
To
do
so,
remove the
cover of
the
preamp with the
supplied alien key and refer to
figure
1
and
the
following table.
