Take care when carrying out demolition work using
u
the chisel. Falling fragments of the demolition material
could injure you or any bystanders.
In case of damage and improper use of the battery, va-
u
pours may be emitted. The battery can set alight or ex-
plode. Ensure the area is well ventilated and seek medical
attention should you experience any adverse effects. The
vapours may irritate the respiratory system.
Do not open the battery. There is a risk of short-circuit-
u
ing.
The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such
u
as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally.
An internal short circuit may occur, causing the battery to
burn, smoke, explode or overheat.
Only use the battery with products from the manufac-
u
turer. This is the only way in which you can protect the
battery against dangerous overload.
Protect the battery against heat, e.g. against
continuous intense sunlight, fire, dirt, water
and moisture. There is a risk of explosion and
short-circuiting.
Additional safety instructions and working
advice
Before any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance,
u
tool change, etc.) as well as during transport and stor-
age, set the rotational direction switch to the middle
position. There is risk of injury from unintentionally
pressing the on/off switch.
If the application tool should become blocked, switch
u
the power tool off. Loosen the application tool.
Switching on when the drilling tool is blocked may
u
cause high torque reactions.
Avoid switching on the tool accidentally. Make sure
u
that the on/off switch is set to the off position before
inserting a battery. Accidents can occur as a result of
carrying the power tool with your finger on the on/off
switch or inserting the battery while the power tool is
switched on.
Read and strictly observe the safety instructions in
u
the operating instructions of the cordless drill/driver.
Always make sure that you maintain a safe distance.
u
When operating the power tool in high up areas, e.g.
on a ladder, ensure that no one is beneath you.
