Connect the video components to the VCR
1, VCR 2, VCR 3,
VDP/CDV or VIDEO jacks.
Connect the TV set,
»* When using a conventional TV set:
Connect RF MODULATOR JA-RF5 {sold separately} to the receiver's
VIDEO OUT TO RF MODULATOR jack, TV and antennas as shown
in diagram on page 9.
Set the TV ANT switch so that the TV-ANT indicator goes out in
the display section.
* When using a TV set equipped with a video input terminal or a
monitor TV:
Connect the receiver's VIDEO OUT TO MONITOR TV jack to the
TV (ar monitor TV) video input terminal,
. Press the POWER switch to the ON position, and turn on the power
to the other components used.
. Set
the
INPUT
SELECTOR
switch
to the appropriate
video
component to be played back.
. Play back the video component.
. Operate the TV set to display the playback picture.
* Set the TV set's channel to the same open channel as selected
on the RF modulator. (ch. 3 or 4)
* When using a TV set equipped with video input terminais, set it
to video input playback mode.

1. Connect the audio source component while referring to page 8
*'Audio Component Connection." and page 35.
2. Press the POWER switch to the ON position.
3. ff recording on TAPE 2, turn off the TAPE 2 MONITOR switch.

by the INPUT
SELECTOR
switches
will
be
recorded
(except
for TAPE
2
MONITOR switch}.
4. Use the INPUT SELECTOR switch to select the desired program
source.
° To select a TUNER function, press the desired STATION CALL
switch if the station has been preset. If the desired station has
not been preset, tune in the station using Auto, Manual or Direct
Access tuning.
5. Play the desired program source (record, compact disc, etc.).
6. Begin recording by following the operating procedures for the
applicable cassette deck.
* The volume, balance and tone controls have no effect on the
recording.
