1. Drain plug
e. Reinstall the drain plug and tighten
to specification.
Tightening torque:
Drain plug:
20 Nm (2.0 m•kg, 14 ft•lb)
f. Fill the engine with oil and install the
dipstick.
Recommended oil: See page 10-2.
Oil quantity:
Total amount:
1.7 L (1.5 Imp qt, 1.8 US qt)
Periodic oil change:
1.5 L (1.3 Imp qt, 1.6 US qt)

Passenger car motor oils (often labeled
"Energy Conserving") contain anti-fric-
tion additives which will cause clutch
and/or starter clutch slippage, result-
ing in reduced component life and
poor engine performance.

crankcase.
