Care of leather
L
Note:
If exposed to strong sunlight for
a lengthy period, leather-
trimmed parts (seat, backrest,
headrest) should be covered to
prevent them from fading. If
leather-trimmed parts (seat,
backrest, headrest) are soaked
through, allow them to dry in the
open for 24 hours (depending
on outdoor temperature) and,
when they are thoroughly dry,
treat the leather surfaces with
BMW impregnating oil for
leather.
This oil and the BMW cleaner
for leather are also ideal for
treating leather motorcycling
clothing and boots.
Leather is a natural product,
subject to change. Its specific
properties and also certain
restrictions in practical use and
the need for special care must
therefore be taken into account.
– The effects of the weather,
contact with clothing etc.
cause a patina to develop
– Clothing that is not colour-
fast may discolour the leather
