[SD [Z] ]: The system outputs standard
resolution
with a black fiame.
[HD 153]: The system outputs HD resolution
with a black fiame.
[HDI: The system outputs the HD resolution
without a black fiame.
[(1920 x 1080i) HD E]]: The system outputs
full size HD resolution
with a black fiame.
[(1920 x 1080i) HDI: The system outputs full
size HD resolution
without a black fiame.
• [JPEG RESOLUTION] is effective only when you
set [TV TYPE] in [VIDE(-) SETUP] to [16:91, and
you set [HDMI RESOLUTION] in [HDMI SETUP]
to other than [720 x 48%1 or [720 x 480/576p].
• You can select [(1920 x 1080i) HD F_] or [(1920 x
1080i) HD] only when you set [HDMI
RESOLUTION] in [HDMI SETUP] to [1920 x
1080i].
• The HDMI signal will stop momentarily when:
the system is loading or unloading a DATA CD or
DATA DVD.
you change the disc from a DATA CD or DATA
DVD.
you play a DATA CD or DATA DVD to the end
and the system stops playback automatically.

AUDIO SETUP
• [SPEAKER FORMATION]
You can select the position of the speakers
for
better surround sound. For details, see "Getting
Optimal Surround
Sound for a Room"
(page 80).
• [AUTO CALIBRATION]
You can calibrate
the appropriate
settings
automatically.
For details, see "Calibrating
the
Appropriate
Settings
Automatically"
(page 81 ).
• [AUDIO DRC] (DVD VIDEO only)
You can compress
the dynamic
range of the
sound track. [AUDIO DRC] is useful for
watching movies at low volume late at night.
[OFF]: No compression
of dynamic
range.
[STANDARDI:
The system reproduces
the
sound track with the kind of dynamic range that
the recording
engineer
intended.
[MAX]: The system compresses
dynamic range
fully.
• [AUDIO DRC] works only for Dolby Digital.
• [TRACK SELECTION]
(DVD VIDEO only)
You can give the sound track which contains the
highest number
of channels
priority when you
play a DVD VIDEO on which multiple audio
formats (PCM, DTS, Dolby Digital, or MPEG
audio) are recorded.
[OFFI: off.
[AUTOI:
The system selects the sound track
automatically
according
to the priority.

• When you set the item to [AUTO], the language may
change. The [TRACK SELECTION] setting has
higher priority than the [AUDIO] settings in
[LANGUAGE SETUP] ([)age 59). (Depending on
the disc, this function may not work.)
• If PCM, DTS, Dolby Digital sound, and MPEG audio
have the same number of' channels, the system selects
PCM, DTS, Dolby Digital sound, and MPEG audio in
this order.
