Changing the Flash Mode
<§>*S Slow-sync
This function is useful when you are taking pictures of
people against a sunset or nighttime background. The
combination of slow shutter speed and flash
illuminates the subject while still capturing the
background not reached by the flash.
Set the flash to <S>V0 .

• Press the V<§> button to display
<§>V0 on the LCD panel

Because a slow shutter speed (up to 2 seconds) is
used in <@>vH , always use a tripod to prevent camera
shake Take care also to ensure that the subject does
not move immediately after the flash fires.
•The red-eye reduction function (-» 26) operates in this

mode
• In some conditions, <®>(v) mode (—» 33) may give
better results For this reason, it is best to take the
picture in both <§>*H and
<§>(%)
modes
