Cassette tape notes <Fig. 5>
Inserting the Cassette
Ci) Press the OPEN knob.
@) Open the cassette compartment.
@) Insert the cassette.

Load the cassette so that you can see the side with the tape exposed facing forward.

The side to be played first should be facing upwards.
@) Prass the cassette compartment lid to close it again.
Removing the Cassette

Press the OPEN knob and open cassette compartment.

If the tape is running, please press the STOP button first.
Tape Slack
Observe if tape is slack before using a cassette. Slack tape can become jammed in the mechanism
or break. Employ a pencil or similar tool to correct tape slack.
C-120, C-110 Tape: —-—--__-__-—__—_—-
A
C-120, C-110 tape is extremely thin and easily deformed or damaged. It is not recommended for
use in this unit.
Tape playback <Fig. 6>
Follow the following steps below for operation.
Insert 4 cassette inta the cassette compartment.
(@) Connect the headphones to the PHONES jack.
(@) Select the TAPE switch position for the type of tape being used.
Metal cr chrome tape: Cr/ME
Normal tape: NORMAL
@) When using a tape recorded with Dolby NR, slide the Dolby NR switch to "'C'' or ""B"'.
(4) Select the HOLD switch position. To enable the buttons on the main unit, set this switch
in the unit to OFF.
() Press the PLAY/DIR button, (A beep tone sounds to show key operation is accepted.)

Plays the forward side of the tape.

When playing the reverse side, prass the PLAY/DIR button again.

When in continuous auto reverse mode, the side played changes each time the PLAY/DIR
button is pressed.
Display example
The fetter of KENWOOD
goes off sequentially.

Adjust the volurne. Set the VOLUME control knob on the main unit to around 6~8, and then
adjust the volume level with the VOLUME control knob on the remete control.
@ Select the S.P. switch position.
Ta stap the tape, press the STOP button.

When the HOLD switch is ON, the buttons of PLAY/DIR, STOP and FF/REW of the main unit
does not function.
«
By holding the HOLD switch of the remote control, the buttons of PLAY/DIR, STOP, FF/REW
and S.P.SW of the remote control does not function.
