Activation, calibration and functioning
5.1
Notes on safety for the first start-up
The first start-up of the burner must be carried out
by qualified personnel, as indicated in this manual
and in compliance with the standards and regula-
tions of the laws in force.

Valve assembly adjustment
Start the burner after setting the gas train as described in the
burner instruction manual.
Check the burner is firing safely.
At maximum power, adjust the setting screw of the "GAS/AIR
RATIO" (V screw).
At maximum power, adjust the setting screw of "0 POINT" (N
screw).
5.3
Checking the adjustment function
For this check, follow the following instructions (Fig. 6):
Operate the burner at maximum power.
Measure gas pressure at "A" inlet and "B" outlet of the gas
train.
Slowly close the ball valve up-line from the combination con-
trol till the inlet pressure at "A" decreases by 2 mbar (town
gas by 1 mbar).
The outlet gas pressure at "B" can decrease by 0.5 mbar at
most. If the values don't match the values stated, check and
correct the adjustment or the control box chosen.
Do not run the system if the adjustment range is not correct.
Open the ball valve again.
5.4
Low gas pressure switch adjustment
Adjust the minimum gas pressure switch after adjusting all the
other burner settings with the switch at start of scale.
Run the burner at maximum power. Slowly close the gate valve
up-line from the gas train till the pressure (measured on the inlet
flange connection) diminishes by 0.5 – 0.6 mbar in comparison
with the operating value. Slowly turn the adjusting screw in the
pressure switch (Pw) till the switch operates and the burner
stops. Open the gate valve fully: the burner automatically starts.

Check the correct working of the adjustment, com-
mand and safety devices.
WARNING
Repeat the adjustments as needed and check the intermediate
values.
Both combustion and firing must be optimised.
