This technical manual is designed to aid in the different procedures that may be needed for the Tyke seating system. This technical manual does not replace, but aids the user instruction manual, adjustment guides and instructions. The procedures shown in this technical manual should only be performed by an Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP) or clinical professional trained to do wheelchair repairs, adjustments and retrofits.

Adapter Plate Direction and Center of Gravity x:panda Facing Forward This activity requires a 6mm Allen wrench. 1. Place adapter plate in Position 1 if seat depth of x:panda is less than 9.75". 2. Transit Hook Label A x:panda shape size infant may be mounted in a reverse (parent) or forward facing direction on a Tyke Size 1 mobility base. The direction of the Adapter Plate and Tilt Stop plate tilt must be reversed according to the drawings below.

Tilt Stop Plate Adapter Plate Screw Locations Reposition Tilt Stop Plate as shown for Forward Configuration Test the Tyke 1 tilt mechanism to confirm the x:panda shape size 1 infant seating system will tilt approximately 35 degrees posterior and 0 degrees anterior.
Replacing Caster Fork 1. Remove the caster wheel. 2. Loosen and remove the caster fork mounting screw. 3. Replace caster fork and reinstall caster fork mounting screw. Replacing Swivel Lock 1. Remove caster wheel and caster fork. 2. Slide swivel lock (A) off the front end of the frame and replace. 3.
Replacing the Tilt Knob Assembly 1. Using a sharpe edge, carefully pry up the cover cap. 2. Remove internal nut and washer retaining the tilt knob. 3. Remove knob and cable retainer. 4. Slide off cable retainer and cable the internal bushing. 5.
2. Use markings (A) on the frrame to confirm suspension settings are the same. Replacing the Wheel Lock 1. Turn the Tyke over and place sideways against an object such as a wall. 2. Remove the frame bolt and rear axle.
Storage Tray 1. Center tray. Center tray requires no tools to install. Ventilator Mount (Pulmonetics LTV) 1. Open mounting hardware and mount vertically and in the center of the rear cross tube. If using a storage tray, make sure to center to ventilator mount.
O2 Holder 1. Mount frame hardware to frame. 2. Mount adapter hardware to the frame hardware at desired vertical angle. 3. Mount O2 holder to adapter hardware and set height and position of the O2 holder.
