Page 8: Overview The Sw-221Subwoofer
The Tecnare SW-221 is a high power, high output low frequency system that sets a new standard in the sound reinforcement. It can be used to supplement any Tecnare subwoofer system and extend the low frequency response down to 27 Hz. -

Page 10: 1.2 Loudspeaker Configuration
SW-221 Series Operation Manual Loudspeaker Configuration Standard Operation The standard operation corresponds to the use of subwoofers as single elements or as standard subwoofer arrays. In this configuration the system operates with an omni-directional or quasi-omni- directional directivity pattern. The (SW221_60) and (SW221_75) factory presets provide to the subwoofers an upper frequency limit at 60Hz and 75Hz respectively in order to optimize the coupling with main system or if other subwoofer are being used. -

The output of the reversed subwoofer cancels the output of the other subwoofers normally present behind the units. Tecnare has specifically designed cardioid presets (SW221_60i and SW221_75i). However, we recommend calculating the appropriate ratio of forward to rear facing loudspeakers, as well as the measurement of required parameter setting of polarity, delay, and gain. -

Tecnare loudspeaker controllers. ® Tecnare only recommends using preset/amplifier developed by Tecnare, otherwise there is a risk of damaging the loudspeaker components. DP Series Loudspeaker Controller, PA Series amplifier and T-Series amplifier are ideal for this purpose. Ensure that the right preset was selected before connecting the loudspeaker with the amplifier. -

SW-221 Operation Manual Transport and storage As the Tecnare SW-221 loudspeaker weighs over 125kg (275,58 lbs), four people are needed to move and transport the unit. To transport the unit whit a single person, Tecnare recommends using the optional wheels on the rear of the unit. -
