1.2. Overview the SW-218EB Subwoofer The Tecnare© SW218EB is a high-power output subwoofer designed to extend the low-end of Tecnare loudspeakers and it defi ned by its sonic linearity in low frequency at high, continuous output levels with very low distortion. -

Loudspeaker Setup SW-218EB 2. LOUDSPEAKER SETUP 2.1. Standard Operation The standard operation corresponds to the use of subwoofers as single elements or as standard subwoofer arrays. In this confi guration the system operates with an omni-directional or quasi-omni-directional directivity pattern. The (SW218EB), (SW218EB_80) and (SW218_70) factory presets provide to the subwoofers an upper fre- quency limit at 100Hz, 80 and 70Hz respectively in order to optimize the coupling with main system or if other sub- woofer are being used. -

Tecnare has specifi cally designed cardioid presets (SW218EB_i, SW218_80i and SW218_70i). However, we recommend calculating the appropriate ratio of forward to rear facing loudspeakers, as well as the measurement of required parameter setting of polarity, delay, and gain. Tecnare® Sound Systems recommended operating the SW-218EB loudspeaker together Tecnare loud- speaker controllers. Tecnare® only recommends using preset/amplifi er developed by Tecnare, otherwise there is a risk of damag- ing the loudspeaker components. DP Series Loudspeaker Controller, PA Series amplifi er and T-Series amplifi er are ideal for this purpose. -

SW-218EB 4. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE As the Tecnare SW-218EB loudspeaker weighs over 90kg (198,41 lbs), four people are needed to move and transport the unit. To transport the unit whit a single person, Tecnare recommends using the optional front wooden dolly. -
