4.3 Electrical System

The APU electrical system is connected to the truck's batteries and uses the batteries to start the power
unit engine. The power unit's engine alternator charges the batteries while running. Control of the system
is made through the Aspen Interface. A 120 VAC power outlet allows common household appliances and
electronics to operate when the system is running.
4.3.1 Aspen Interface
The Aspen Interface (AI) is the user control for the system. The AI turns the unit ON, OFF, and allows the
user to select the mode of operation.
