  • Page 3 Step Two: Install your software Note: You will need to install this software on all of the PCs or laptops you plan to wire- lessly network together using wireless USB devices. Insert your Installation CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. Note: If the Choose Setup Language window appears, select your preferred language and click OK.
  • Page 4 You will be prompted for an SSID. If you do not have an existing wireless network, leave the default setting of ANY and click Next. If you have an existing wireless network, enter the SSID and click Next. Continue to follow the on-screen instructions to finish the installation procedure. When you are prompted, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now and click Finish.
  • Page 5 Peer to Peer mode is used for peer-to-peer network configurations. Infrastructure - Access Point mode is used to add a Wireless Access Point to the wireless network configuration. Each 11 Mbps Wireless USB Adapter in the wireless network must have the correct mode selected within the Configuration Utility.

    Windows 98 and Me Users: Click Windows Start, Settings, and then Control Panel. Double-click Network and then click the File and Print Sharing button. Select both boxes in the File and Print Sharing window and then click OK. File and print sharing is now enabled.

    Ethernet in the Infrastructure configuration. Possible Solution: • Ensure that each computer in the wireless network is powered on. • Ensure that the stations is configured with the same operating radio channel as the 11 Mbps Wireless USB Adapter. If the IDs are different, change the 11 Mbps Wireless USB Adapter and all the stations within the network to another radio channel.

    I received a message that my computer shares a name with another com- puter on the wireless network. Possible Solution: Each computer on the wireless network must have a different name.
