3. MEMORY channel battery backup
In the TS-9308, frequencies are stored in the microcom-
puter's RAM {random access memory). Data will be lost if
the POWER switch (42) is tumed off.
However, the memory may be retained by a battery backup
system
while

POWER
switch
is off.
The
RAM
is
powered by the batteries installed in the battery compart-
ment {60}. Backup current is less than 10 aA, and service
life of the battery pack is approximately one year.
