{ EON tuning
]
EON tuning is useful if the type of program you want to listen to.is
not currently being broadcast. It allows you to set the unit to
automatically change to a particular type of program when one
begins.
EON tuning only works if RDS data and EON signals are being
received,
EON tuning finds programs on stations that share EON signals.

Turn [PTY SELECTOR} to select the desired
program type.
Each time you turn the selector, the PTY display will change
in sequence. (For PTY displays: > page 29.)
While the PTY display is flashing (approx. 10 seconds)
Press [EON].
"EON" will light up.
The current station remains tuned in until the selected type of
program begins. When the receiver finds the type of program you
selected, "EON" appears on the display and the message "OTHER
PROGRAM SERVICE" scrolls from right to left across the display.
The receiver automatically changes over at this time. If the type of
program you selected is currently broadcasting, the receiver will
immediately change to that station.
EON tuning turns OFF if you operate the tuner (™ pages 22-25),
change the input source, or turn the unit OFF.
When "NO EON" is displayed:
The broadcast you are presently receiving does not provide EON
service.
To check the program type while on reception standby:
Turn [PTY SELECTOR].
The program type last selected will be displayed for approximately
2 seconds. ("EON" will flash.)
!f you turn the selector again while the program type is being
displayed, you will turn EON tuning OFF.
To cancel EON tuning:
Press [EON].
"EON" will go out.
