- Page 3 1. Introduction A vibration sensor has to be stuck on a window pane. The sensor has two shock tubes that can detect vibrations. If the vibration exceeds the safety threshold, an alarm is triggered. The vibration sensor stuck in the corner of a small window will be less likely to trigger an alarm than if the sensor is stuck in the middle of a large window.
