  3. Power / Light Button
  4. LCD Screen
  5. AC Voltage Test Button
  6. Continuity / Polarity Test Button

Operation Description

Power On/ Off

Press the power button for more than 1 second to turn on the tester and turn it off in the same way.

Flashlight

When the tester is on, press the key to turn on the flashlight; when the flashlight is on, press again to tum it off.

Auto Shut-off

The voltage tester would be automatically powered off after being in 5 mins of inactive status.

Inductive Measuring Mode

When the probe is placed close to the AC voltage, the buzzer sounds and the voltage level will show an display. The higher the voltage, the more rapid the buzzer sounds. Likewise, "HI" on the display indicates high voltage. "U" indicates low voltage. With this function, you can differentiate between Null and Live wires, or find the breakpoint of the wire.

AC Voltage Detection

When the tester is on, press the button to enter AC voltage testing mode. The screen displays the AC voltage reading when the test probe contacts an AC voltage source. This function can also detect AC voltage and distinguish zero and live wires according to the voltage.

Continuity Detection

When the tester is on, press the button with the right hand, and hold one end of the uncharged wire with the left hand while contacting the other end of the wire with the test probe. If the wire is connected correctly, the screen will display "--C" and a buzzer sounds, if the wire is open, the test pen does not respond.

Battery Polarity Detection

When the tester is on, press and hold the button while touching the test probe to the positive terminal, the other hand press and hold the negative terminal. If the polarity is correct, the screen displays "— — P" and the buzzer sounds. If it is reversely connected, the test pan does not respond.

warning Note: In general, when the backlight turns red, it indicates that the object under test may be dangerous and should be operated carefully.

  • Different or irregular structures of socket would possibly result in wires not being identified as either live or null wires. In that case, the operator can instead switch to "AC Voltage Detection" mode to help identify wires according to their voltage reading.
  • If live and null wires are positionally too close, separate them from each other as far as possible for accurate detection. If it is impossible to do that distinguish them based on the indication from the buzzer and the display. It should be live wire when the buzzer sounds at the highest frequency and the screen displays the symbol '"HI".
  • As the voltage detector requires human contact to form a circuit, please ensure that the operator touches buttons on the product well.

Low Battery Indication

When the battery voltage is running low, the screen displays symbol "" for suggesting the operator to replace the battery

Battery Replacement

Battery Replacement
Push off the battery cover as shown at right and replace the used battery with a new one, following the battery polarity sign.

warning Note: Before locking, do not use the tester to test electricity in case of electric shock.
