Changing the saw disc (see fig . F)
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY! Always
switch the appliance off and remove
the battery before carrying out any
work on the appliance.
Set up the appliance so that the rear side of
the blade guard 3 is facing towards you .
Undo the screw k on the rear of the blade
guard 3 using a Phillips screwdriver (not
supplied; see fig . G) .
Pull the blade guard forwards off the appliance .
Press the spindle lock f and keep it pressed .
Check whether the saw disc j still turns . If yes,
turn the saw disc j until the spindle lock f
clicks into place .
Insert the face spanner q into the corresponding
holes on the flange h . Undo the flange h using
the face spanner q by turning it in the direction
indicated by the arrows on the saw disc j and
the appliance .
Remove the flange h and the saw disc j from
the spindle .
Insert the new saw disc and check that the
direction of rotation is correct using the arrows
on the disc and device (direction of rotation
arrow 
) .To reassemble, proceed in reverse

order .
Before use, check to ensure that the blade
guard 3 closes properly . When the saw
disc j retracts from a cut, it must retract
completely into the blade guard 3 .
Always carry out a test run without load before
starting work and after replacing an accessory
tool . Switch off the product immediately if the
accessory tool runs unevenly, if there is a signifi-
cant vibration or if you hear unusual noises .

Getting started

WARNING!
Never activate the spindle lock f while the
saw disc j is still turning .
Before use, check to ensure that the blade
guard 3 closes properly . When the saw
disc j retracts from a cut, it must retract
completely into the blade guard 3 .
Keep your hands out of the sawing area and
away from the saw disc j while the appli-
ance is switched on!

Switching on/off

Switching on
Push the ON/OFF switch y forwards until it
clicks into place .
Switching off
Press the rear part of the ON/OFF switch y .

Working procedures

Always use both hands to hold the appliance
while you are working . Use the additional
handle 1 to have optimum control over the
appliance .
Make sure that you apply an even force to
saw even slots .
Do not apply the running saw disc j to the
workpiece until the appliance has reached full
speed . Otherwise, this could cause a kickback .
Select a biscuit that is appropriate to the materi-
al thickness . Choose the largest one possible to
ensure optimal stability . You can also use sever-
al biscuits on top of each other .
Mark the centre of the groove that you want to
mill on the workpiece with a pencil (not supplied) .
Apply the appliance with the groove marking c
at the marked position (see fig . M) .
