♦ The green control LED 0 indicates that the
charging process is complete and the battery
pack 5 is ready for use .
ATTENTION!
♦ If the red control LED 9 flashes, this means
that the battery pack 5 has overheated and
cannot be charged .
♦ If the red and green control LEDs 9 0 both
flash, this means that the battery pack 5 is
defective .
♦ Switch off the charger for at least 15 minutes
between successive charging sessions . Also
disconnect the power plug from the mains pow-
er socket .

Inserting the battery pack
♦ Snap the battery pack 5 into the handle .
Removing the battery pack
♦ Press the release button x and remove the
battery pack 5 .

Checking the battery charge level

♦ To check the battery status, press the battery
charge level button 7 . The status/remaining
charge is shown on the battery display LED 6
as follows:
RED/ORANGE/GREEN = maximum charge
RED/ORANGE = medium charge
RED = low charge – charge the battery

Installing the dust extraction system

Dust from materials such as lead-based paints,
some types of wood, minerals and metal can be
harmful to health . Touching or inhaling the dusts
may cause allergic reactions and/or respiratory
illnesses of the user or people in the vicinity . Certain
dusts such as oak or beech dust are considered
carcinogenic, especially in combination with wood
treatment additives (chromate, wood preservatives) .
Materials containing asbestos may only be worked
on by specialists .

■ Always use dust extraction .
■ Ensure that your workplace is adequately
ventilated .
■ We recommend you wear a respirator with a
class P2 filter .
Follow the regulations that apply in your country
regarding the materials to be worked .
NOTE
► When working with wood or materials that
produce dust that is hazardous to health, the
device must be connected to a suitable, test-
ed extraction device (e .g . in accordance with
dust class M as per EN 60335-2-69) .
Connecting an external extraction system
♦ Attach the extraction nozzle e firmly onto
the chip ejector l .
♦ Attach the adapter for external extraction w
firmly onto the matching opening of the extrac-
tion nozzle e .
♦ Push the hose of a suitable workshop vacuum
cleaner onto the adapter for external extrac-
tion w .
♦ To dismantle, proceed in reverse order .
Fitting the dust bag
♦ Put the appropriate end of the extraction
nozzle e onto the chip ejector l .
♦ Use two fingers to press the spring clip r
on the opening of the dust bag together .
♦ Push the opening of the dust bag over the other
end of the extraction nozzle e .
♦ Let go of the spring clip r .
♦ To dismantle, proceed in reverse order .
Emptying the dust bag
To ensure optimum dust extraction, empty the
dust bag t regularly .
♦ Open the zip on the dust bag z .
♦ Shake out the dust bag t over a suitable
waste container .
