TURNING SECURITY ON AND OFF:
> Press the Code button for more

(lf Security is on, it will turn off, and
the Code indicator will disappear
from the display. If Security is off, it
will turn on, and the Code indicator
will appear on the display.)
NOTE:
When the security code function is
ON, the power cannot be turned ON
by inserting a cassette tape. Press
the Power button to turn power ON.

IF YOU MAKE'A MISTAKE
lf you have removed the unit and
then put it back in place, when you
turn the power switch to ON, "- -
— -" and the entry count will appear
on the display. Follow steps 2-6 to
enter your Security code, If the code
you enter is incorrect, "WAIT" will
appear on the display. As indicated
in the table below, the first time you
enter an incorrect code, you may
immediately try again. Otherwise
you will have to wait before you try
again.
