USING A TV SET TO WATCH
PROGRAMS
FROM
CONNECTED
VIDEO COMPONENTS

1 Connect the video components to the
VCR
1, VCR
2, or VDP/VIDEO
jacks.
2 Connect the TV sets.
@ When using a normal TV set:
Connect to the TV set using the RF modulator JA-RF5
(sold separately).
@ When using a TV set equipped with video input termi-
nals, or a monitor TV:
Connect the monitor TV to the appropriate receiver's
MONITOR TV jacks.
3 Turn on the POWER
switch of the unit.
Also turn on the power to the stereo
components you wish to use.
Hi-Fi VIDEO RECORDING
Refer to the connection procedures on pages
7 and 8, and
refer to the Hi-Fi VCR's Operating
Instructions regarding
proper operation procedures. Recording can be performed
on both VCR
1 and VCR
2. (VCR
only, in the case of
VSX-2000)

Monitor TV
JA-RF5 (sold separately)
4 Set the audio/video function switch to
the appropriate video component to be
played back.
5 Play back the video component.
6 Operate the TV set to display the play-
back picture.

When
using normal TV sets, use the RF modulator
JA-RF5 (sold separately), and set the TV set's channel
to the same open channels selected on the RF modu-
lator.

When using a TV set equipped with video input termi-
nals, set to the video input playback mode.
1 Turn on the POWER
switch of the
unit. Also turn on the power to the Hi-
Fi VCR.
2 Use the audio/video function switch
to select the desired program source.
To
choose
a radio
tuner
program
source,
press
the
desired STATION
CALL switch if the station has been
preset. If the desired station has not been preset, tune in
the station using Auto or Manual tuning.
3 Insert a video cassette for recording
into the Hi-Fi VCR and adjust the re-
cording level. For details, consult the
Operating Instructions for the Hi-Fi
VCR used.
4 Start.the program source and set the
VCR to the recording made.

The volume, balance, and tone controls have no effect
on the recording.
NOTE:
Recording
cannot be performed
on a VCR
connected
to the
VDP/VIDEO jacks.
