POWER switch
Press this switcn to turn on power. Press it again to
turn power off.
@ PHONES jack
Stereo headphones are plugged into this jack.

EQUALIZER switch
Set
this
switch
to
ON
to
activate
the
graphic
equalizer circuity. When this switch is set to OFF, 4
flat frequency
response
is obtained
regardless
of
the GRAPHIC EQUALIZER control setting.
@ EQUASLIZER REC switch
Set this switch to ON to record an equalized sound
onto
the tape
deck
connected
to TAPE
1 REC
jacks. When
this switch is set to OFF, the sound
with a flat frequency response is recorded onto the
tape deck connected to TAPE
1 REC jacks.
@ SPEAKERS switch
A, B OFF — This position silences all speakers to
permit private use of headphones.
A
ON — Activates
speakers
connected
to
the
SPEAKERS A terminals on the rear panel.
B
ON — Activates
speakers
connected
to
the
SPEAKERS 8B terminals on the rear panel.
A, B ON — Activates speakers connected
to the
SPEAKERS A and B terminals simultaneously.
Note:
When
either SPEAKERS A or 8 terminals are connected to speakers
and the SPEAKER
switches A and B are set to ON, sound cannot be
heard.

GRAPHIC
EQUALIZER controls
When
the
EQUALIZER
switch
is set to ON,
use
these controls to adjust the sound
quality as your
preference.
@ LOUDNESS switch
ON { — ) — Bass notes are boosted at low listen-
ing levels. This precisely offsets a character'stics
of human
hearing whereby we are less sensitive
to bass notes at very low listening levels.
OFF { "1 ) — The !ow-levei bass boost is removed
and the VOLUME
contro! provides flat response
at all settings.
@ TAPE-2 selector switch
To listen to a source
of the tape deck, etc., con-
nected to the TAPE 2 jacks, press this switch.

The TAPE-2 selector switch has a oriority over the input selector swit-
ches. To listen to the source other than tape deck 2, be sure to set
this switch to OFF.

INPUT SELECTOR
TAPE-1
Press this switch
to play back
a tape
deck connected to TAPE 1 jacks.
CD/AUX
— Selects the source
connected
to the
CD/AUX jacks.
TUNER
Selects
the
tuner
connected
to
the
TUNER
jacks.
PHONO
— Selects the program source played on
the turntabel.
Note:
When TAPE-1
and TAPE-2 switches are pressed, TAPE-2 setting has
pnionity.
