Operating the Forge Clear Ice Press
Making Ice
CAUTION
Follow the steps below to make ice.
1.
Plug the ice press into a grounded outlet which meets the requirements on page 4.
2.
Turn the ice press on using the button on the metal skirt.
3.
Wait for a period of 30sec.
4.
Lift the upper half of the press and insert a piece of ice between the two halves.
5.
Let the ice melt under the weight of the upper half (do not press down on the press while ice
is being melted).
6.
Once the upper and lower halves meet, use the tongs to remove the ice. Ice may be served
immediately or stored in a freezer for later use.
Note: Ice spheres stored in a freezer can be returned to clarity by quickly running them under cold
tapwater before serving.
Draining Water
CAUTION
The Forge Ice Press should be drained completely after every 8 ice spheres are formed, and after
each session use.
1.
Unplug the unit
2.
Remove the ice press from the drip tray
3.
Empty the water from the drip tray into a sink or drain
4.
Reinstall the ice press on the drip tray
