Setting the Cable Equalization The EQ1 control is used to set the amount of cable equalization being applied at the video input. It can be adjusted to compensate for various 0 to 300 input cable lengths to achieve a flat frequency curve.

It is also used in conjunction with a momentary pushbutton to select some sub-items of the menu system.
