To remove the SD card, push the card in until you feel a spring release; the SD card will be ejected when you let go. NOTE - If no SD card is inserted, the TR600 will not power on; there will be a loud beep & an SD card error.

(small) This connection/cable is used to hook a phone handset to a phone base; the cable is typically curly. (1 straight cable included with the TR600) RJ11 (medium) This is a common phone connection/cable & is found in most homes/buildings (in the USA).

Your phone line configuration will fall in one of three types; listed below are the three types. Please carefully read the three options below. Once you have determined which type of phone configuration you have, please go to the appropriate page of this manual to finish the set-up. 1.
Locate the RJ11 cable that is supplying phone service to your phone base; unplug this cable from your phone service source & plug it into the phone port on the back of the TR600. Locate the RJ11 cable that came with your TR600 & plug one end of it into your Phone Service Source.

The Back Button will always take you back to the previous screen/menu B. ENTER LINE MODE Flip the switch on the side of the TR600 to the PHONE position. Enter the Settings menu and select Recording. Select Manu Rec. Mode and select Line Mode.

Enter the Settings Menu and select Recording. Select Auto / Manual Rec and select AUTO To record a call, simply make or receive a call & then hang up the call; the TR600 will automatically record the call & save it to the SD card.
Internet connection to your phone base. Unplug the handset (curly cord) from your phone base & plug it into the handset port on the side of the TR600 (see image below). Using the RJ9 cable that came with your TR600, plug it into the handset port on your phone base.

The set-up should look like the diagram below. Now that you have the TR600 hooked up properly, you need to input the correct settings in order to start recording calls. For the steps on the next page, you will be navigating the TR600 settings menu.

Auto Recording (TRIG Mode): To make it so the TR600 automatically starts & stops recording in Handset Mode (as opposed to Line Mode), you need to put the TR600 into TRIG Mode (Voice Activation). The TR600 will begin recording when sound is detected on the phone line.
TR600 auto records dependably. VOX Silence (Period of Silence) In TRIG mode, the TR600 will stop recording a call after a period of silence; you can set this time period from 2-99 seconds. If set too short, one recorded phone call may be broken into multiple audio files.

The folders contained on the SD card are named by Year/ Month/Day so you can keep your recordings organized. The image below shows actual TR600 folders, the year is 2020, month is September, and the day is the 6th (date: 09/06/2020).

PLUG TR600 INTO PC Leave the TR600 powered on; use the USB data cable that came with your TR600 & plug it into your computer (the cable is a mini USB style) Open the removable drive when it appear on your computer.
NOTE - The batteries in the TR600 act as a backup power source. If wall power is lost, the TR600 will still continue to operate and retain the correct time/date.
Power off the TR600 & remove the SD card; insert it into your PC Transfer the audio file from your PC to the root/main folder of the SD card (don't put it in any other folder). B. TURN ANNOUNCEMENT ON Enter the Settings Menu and select Recording.
Settings Explained A. RECORDING SETTINGS MIC REC. Mode - Change between Manual & Vox (voice) activation for Mic Mode. Auto / Manual Rec - Change between Manual, Auto, and Trig mode. Manu Rec Mode - Change between Handset Mode and Line mode.
