oWhenusingtheJETDEFROST
TM
feature, you
need to enter the net weight (the weight of the
food minus the container). Enter the weight to the
nearest 1/10 ib (45 g).
o Oniy use the JET DEFROST feature for raw food.
The JET DEFROST feature gives best resuits
when the food to be thawed is compbteiy
frozen.
If the food is partially defrosted, aiways set a
iower food weight (for a shorter defrosting time)
to prevent cooking the food.
o For better resuits, a preset standing time is
inciuded in the defrosting time. This may make
the defrosting time seem ionger than expected.
(For more information on standing time, see the
"Microwave
cooking tips" in the "Cooking Guide"
section.)
You are probabiy used to food weights as being in
pounds and ounces that are fractions of a pound
(for exampb 4 ounces equais¼ Ib [113 g]). However,
in order to enter food weight in the JET DEFROST
feature, you must specify pounds and tenths of a
pound. If the weight on the food package is in
fractions of a pound, you can use the following
chart to convert the weight to decimals.
