For the U.S. and Canadian models, the left channel can be
adjusted with the control knobs on the left side, the right
channel with the control knobs on the right side. On the
multi-voltage model, the contro/ knobs adjust the left and
tight channels simultaneously.

1. Press the POWER switch to ON.
© The STANDBY/SLEEP indicator will go out.
2. Select the SPEAKERS switch.
3. Select the FUNCTION switches before operating
any of the equipment.
BASIC OPERATIONS
® To listen to a compact disc: [CD}
To listen to a record: [PHONO]
To listen to an FM or AM broadcast: [TUNER]
To listen to a cassette tape: [TAPE]
To listen to equipment connected to the VIDEO/AUX
jacks: [VIDEO/AUX]
When a FUNCTION switch is pressed, the corresponding in-
dicator lights.
Back-up
1. When the power is at standby:
When the power is turned on next, only the sleep timer
will be reset, and the other switches will return to the
same state as before set to standby.
2. When the AC plug is disconnected:
© The built-in back-up function retains for several days
ail conditions as before the AC plug was disconnect-
ed except for the sleep timer.
® After several days, the built-in back-up function will
no longer work.
RECORD PLAY
Manual play (PL-210AZ, PL-210Z, PL-310Z)
1. Perform the preliminary operations.
2. Place the record on the platter mat.
3. Remove the stylus cover and release the tonearm from
the arm rest.
4. Set the SPEED switch.

8. Adjust the volume with the VOLUME control and the
tone with the GRAPHIC EQUALIZER controls.
9. To stop the player, press the STOP (or PLAY/STOP: PL-
310Z) switch.
Auto play (PL-310Z only)
1. Perform the preliminary operations.
2. Place the record on the platter mat.
3. Remove the stylus cover and release the tonearm from
the arm rest.
4, Set the SPEED and SIZE switches.
