Converting to Side Discharge

Install the fasteners into the same holes in the deck from where they were originally
removed. This ensures that no holes remain open when operating the mower deck.
Open holes in the machine expose you and others to thrown debris that can cause
severe injury.
• Never operate the machine without hardware mounted in all holes in the machine
housing.
• Install the hardware in the mounting holes when you remove the mulching baffle.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage the blade-control switch, and engage
the parking brake.
2. Shut off the machine, remove the key, and wait for all moving parts to stop before
leaving the operating position.
3. Raise the mower deck to the highest height of cut.
4. Remove the battery packs from the machine.
5. Remove the baffle as shown.
Carriage bolt—5/16 x 3/4 inch (2)
6. Using 2 new hex bolts from the loose parts bag, 1 existing carriage bolt, and 3 existing
locknuts, install the fasteners into the open holes shown.
Note:
install fasteners in the top hole under the discharge chute.
