1. With power supplied directly from the car battery, the

Charging current is about 15 mA. The battery Ni-Cd batteries a
back-up function operates only when the power
cord is disconnected.
3. Back-up is available for about 3 to 5 days. To extend
the back-up period, connect the (optional) BC-1 to the
external back-up terminal.

1) Remove the batteries if you don't intend to use them for
a long period of time.
