Choosing an auto
focus method
You can set the AF rm_ge fnder frame and
the AF mode.
AF focus range finder frame
The AF r_nge finder frame selects the focus
position according to the subject position
and size.
AF Mode
The AF mode sets the focus operation
according to the AF response and the
battery consumption.

Mode dial: aP/SCN/H
Multipoint AF
The camera calculates the distance in three
places to the left and right and in the center
of the image, letting you shoot using the
auto focus function without worrying about
the image composition. This is useful when
it is difficult to focus on the subject because
it is not in the center of the frame. You cm_
check the position where the focus was
adjusted using the green frame.
The Mulfipoint AF is the factory setting.

The AF range finder is only the center of the
frmne. You can shoot in desired image
composition using the AF lock method.
MENU
[] Set the mode dial to I_IP, SCN
orH.
[] Press MENU.
The menu appears.
[]
Select _ (Focus) with </1%
then select [Multi AF] or
[Center AF] with &IT.
The focus is edjusted automatically.
When you press and hold the shutter
button halfway down m_d the focus is
adjusted, the color of the AF range
finder frame changes from white to
green.
