MAINTENANCE
brake spring. Adjust the brake spring nut as
necessary.
2. If the park brake pivot adjustment is not
sufficient, the brake drum may need
adjustment. With the rear of the unit
supported on jack stands, remove the wheels.
Disengage the brake and set the pumps to
bypass mode. See Moving Machine By
Hand in the Operation section.
3. Remove the rubber plug from the rear of the
brake drum backing plate to access the brake
adjuster.
4. Using a brake spoon, turn the brake adjuster
towards the front of the unit until the brake
begins to engage. The adjuster should then
be backed off three clicks.

Neutral Adjustment

The back wheels must be raised off of the ground
(or the unit needs to be put on rollers) and the
unit secured so that it cannot roll forwards or
backwards during adjustment.
NOTE: for illustration, the pump covering is not
shown. It does not need to be removed for neutral
adjustment.
1. Raise the wheels of the machine and secure
the unit so it will not roll forward or back during
adjustment.
2. Loosen, but do not remove the two socket
head cap screws located on the pumps at
the front of the unit for the side needing
adjustment. This will require a 3/8" allen key
(an extension or a long allen key may be
necessary).
3. Start the unit. When unit is running, engage
the OPC lever and release the park brake.
4. Using a 9/16" socket or wrench, adjust the
top nut.
Tighten the nut to bias the unit toward reverse
and loosen the nut to bias it forward. During
adjustment of the nut, bump the controls into
forward and/or reverse and let the controls
snap back to neutral. When the wheel is
stationary at the same time as the operator
controls are in a neutral, tighten the socket
cap screws to 101 ± 20 Nm (75 ± 15 ft-lb).
If the wheel continues to move, further
adjustment is required.
5. Repeat for the opposite side if necessary.
