CHARGING THE GENERATOR
Charge this generator to 100% of its capacity before using, or planning on not using, the VIKING X-1000 for an extended period of �me. If the display shows less than 20%
capacity, connect it to a power source such as an AC outlet or solar panel as soon as possible. There are many ways to charge the VIKING X-1000:
Solar charging
The solar charging input is MPPT 12-70V 12A. The maximum allowed charging power is 352.8W. Do not exceed it. Exceeding the allowed charging power will cause irreversible
damage to the VIKING X-1000, which is not covered by warranty repair.
1. If you use one 18V or 36V solar panel, just connect the solar panel to the DC IN of the device using the included MC4 solar charging cable.
2. If you are using two 18V solar panels, first connect the solar panels in series and then connect to the DC IN device using the MC4 solar charging cable.
3. If you are using two 36V solar panels, connect the solar panels in parallel and then connect the panels to the DC IN device using the solar charging cable MC4.
4. If you are using four 18V solar panels, first connect two solar panels in series to get 36V and then connect two PV arrays in parallel to the DC IN device using the MC4 solar
charging cable.

VIKING Solar System Instruc�ons for Use
1. Lay out the solar panel and expose it to direct sunlight without obstruc�on. Do not place it in the shade or where shade will occur in the future.
2. For maximum performance, the open solar panel should face directly into the sun.
Tip: To achieve maximum output power from solar modules, it is recommended to set solar modules based on the sun's southward path.
CHARGING BATTERY GENERATORS
When using solar panels to charge VIKING ba�ery generators, follow this procedure:
1. Remove the solar panel from its protec�ve packaging and place it facing the sun.
2. Connect the solar cable with MC4 terminals to the MC4 solar charging terminals from the ba�ery generator.
3. If everything is wired correctly, the solar panel is posi�oned correctly and is producing power, the ba�ery generator will begin charging.
LED display
When the main power bu�on (1) is pressed, the TFT screen turns on. On the screen, you can check the ba�ery capacity,
wa�age, DC output, AC voltage, frequency, output, internal temperature, cooling fan and LED light status.
LED flashlight
Press the LED light bu�on (13) to turn on the 3W LED light, only when the main power is on. A second press switches the light
to SOS mode. A third press of the bu�on turns the light off.
