Connecting your Front Speakers: The passive speakers all use an input terminal cup type of connection as shown in Figure 1 below. Figure 1: Speaker Terminal Connection Note: it is recommended that you turn your receiver and or amplifier volume down to a minimum that you plan to use to power your speakers and then power off the receiver and or amplifier before attempting to connect speaker wires to your receiver and or amplifier.

Connecting your Center Channel: Referencing figure 3 below, the center channel is a passive speaker and audio connections are made via the input terminal cup either using a banana style of plug or simply unscrewing the metal hex nut connector and placing the wire into the hole in the shaft then retighten the connection.

Connecting your Surround Sound Speakers: Referencing figures 4 & 5 below, the surrounds are passive speakers positioned typical just behind where the person sits to the left and right sides. Connections to the left and right channel surrounds are made via the input terminal cups. Connections can be made using either a banana style of plug or simply unscrewing the metal hex nut connector and placing the wire into the hole in the shaft then retighten the connection.

The following controls refer only to the LA110 subwoofer. 1. PHASE: speaker phase (0° to 180°) refers to sound waves arriving to the listener from multiple speaker boxes in the room at the same time being in step with each other. Sometimes for various reasons not covered in these instructions, speaker sounds from a speaker can arrive out of phase as compared to other speakers which can cause a diminished overall sound to arrive at the listeners positions.
