2. Do not operate the tractor and mower when you are tired, sick or when using medication. 3. Keep all helpers and bystanders at least 100 yards from a flail mower. The cutting height changes by adjusting the position of the rear roller. The machine has 8 different cutting height positions. The cutting height is adjustable from ¾” to 6”. Cutting lower than 2” under most circumstances should be avoided. BEFCO PERATION... -

6. Slow down on sharp turns and slopes to prevent tipping or loss of control. 7. Avoid tipping the mower while cutting. 8. Watch for holes, roots or other hidden objects. 12. Never replace hex bolts with less than grade five bolts unless otherwise specified, i.e. shear bolts 13. Check the tension of both belts (see fig. 7) by applying a force of 12-15 lb. pushing against each belt halfway between the pulleys. The belt deflection should be between ”- ”. The mower is supplied with a PTO driveline that comes equipped with an overrunning clutch. The PTO yoke end is attached to the tractor’s PTO, while the end with the overrunning clutch is attached to the mower. The purpose of the overrunning clutch is to transmit power in one direction only.
